Does anyone else love Friday the 13ths? I don’t know why I do but there is just something about them that makes the day feel a little bit more special.

That means the race I was hoping to PR, despite the massive hills lining the course is…. NEXT WEEK! Even though I’ve been doing plenty of miles, I realized this week that my speed work has been pathetically lacking. It might be time to readjust my goals and expectations for this race so that I can enjoy it.
My mom and dad have been in town off and on for the past few weeks.
Anytime they are in town it is pretty much the best thing ever, and I truly don’t know how I would have moved without them!
This Runner’s World Interview with Malcolm Gladwell is one of the best running articles I have read in a very long time! He clearly, logically, and articulately lays out arguments for many of the sentiments I share but could never convey in such a way.
